 Pedagogy of English in Bihar begins from class I itself, it is deemed necessary to lay emphasis on the strategies of teaching required for an ESL (English as Second Language) learners. Bihar Curriculum Framework 2008 has been designed according to the social aspects of the children of the state. Keeping in mind that English language is not so commonly used and spoken in bihar, the curriculum framework has just remodelled the national curriculum  framework 2005, according to the needs of and culture of bihar where most of the people live in villages.

 Keeping in view the need to strengthen the content pertaining to teaching of English, the importance of textbook as a learning resource cannot be ignored or overlooked. Significantly, to cater to this objective, the textbooks for the Government school students of Bihar have been developed with the principal of constructivism where learners should be constructing on their own. The framework sets guidelines for teachers to make opportunities to develop language skills in and outside classroom and be proficient in using English. The main role a teacher is to make the teaching-learning process meaningful. Skill or art of teaching can be improved by proper knowledge of approaches and methods and in their rigorous practice. S/he should only facilitate the learners so that they may proceed in the direction of constructing knowledge on their own. 


बिहार पाठ्यचर्या की रूपरेखा 2008 के संदर्भ में प्रारंभिक स्तर पर अंग्रेजी पढ़ाने के क्या उद्देश्य हैं?

 बिहार पाठ्यक्रम रूपरेखा 2008 के अनुसार प्रारंभिक स्तर पर अंग्रेजी का शिक्षण कैसे किया जा सकता है?


 बिहार में अंग्रेजी का अध्यापन कक्षा I से ही शुरू होता है, एक ईएसएल (द्वितीय भाषा के रूप में अंग्रेजी) शिक्षार्थियों के लिए आवश्यक शिक्षण की रणनीतियों पर जोर देना आवश्यक समझा जाता है।  बिहार पाठ्यचर्या की रूपरेखा 2008 को राज्य के बच्चों के सामाजिक पहलुओं के अनुसार डिजाइन किया गया है।  यह ध्यान में रखते हुए कि बिहार में अंग्रेजी भाषा का इतना सामान्य रूप से उपयोग और बोली नहीं जाती है, पाठ्यक्रम ढांचे ने बिहार की जरूरतों और संस्कृति के अनुसार, जहां अधिकांश लोग गांवों में रहते हैं, राष्ट्रीय पाठ्यक्रम रूपरेखा 2005 को फिर से तैयार किया है।


 अंग्रेजी शिक्षण से संबंधित विषय-वस्तु को सुदृढ़ करने की आवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखते हुए, शिक्षण संसाधन के रूप में पाठ्यपुस्तक के महत्व को नकारा नहीं जा सकता और न ही इसकी उपेक्षा की जा सकती है।  गौरतलब है कि इस उद्देश्य को पूरा करने के लिए, बिहार के सरकारी स्कूल के छात्रों के लिए पाठ्यपुस्तकों को रचनावाद के प्रिंसिपल के साथ विकसित किया गया है जहां शिक्षार्थियों को स्वयं निर्माण करना चाहिए।  यह ढांचा शिक्षकों के लिए कक्षा के अंदर और बाहर भाषा कौशल विकसित करने और अंग्रेजी का उपयोग करने में कुशल होने के अवसर बनाने के लिए दिशानिर्देश निर्धारित करता है।  एक शिक्षक की मुख्य भूमिका शिक्षण-अधिगम प्रक्रिया को सार्थक बनाना है।  दृष्टिकोण और विधियों के उचित ज्ञान और उनके कठोर अभ्यास से कौशल या शिक्षण की कला में सुधार किया जा सकता है।  उसे केवल शिक्षार्थियों को सुविधा प्रदान करनी चाहिए ताकि वे स्वयं ज्ञान के निर्माण की दिशा में आगे बढ़ सकें।

       With regards to language teaching BCF 2008 follows the recommendations and suggestions of the NCF -2005.
