Intonation

 Intonation is a term used to refer to the distinctive  use of different patterns of pitch that carry meaningful information.

Pitch is raising and lowering the voice while speaking the use of speech is called Intonation.

You talk to different person in different situations Do you use the same pitch while speaking ? obviously not. The pitch varies in different situation and contexts this situation of pitch used when speaking is called Intonation. It includes the attitudes and emotions the speakers.It also signals the difference between statement and question,and between different types of questions. Intonation focuses attention on important elements of spoken massege and help to regulate conversational interaction.

Intonation used when speaking some times falls and another time rises when you make a request. You are polite and there is a change in intonation from low to high, This rising Intonation.  Exp- 

May I come in , sir ?

But when you order the intonation goes from high to low. this falling Intonation. 

For Exp..  Shut the door.

This vairation of Pitch from high to low or low to high is called Intonation.

                       आवाज का उतार चढ़ाव

इंटोनेशन एक शब्द है जिसका इस्तेमाल पिच के विभिन्न पैटर्न के विशिष्ट उपयोग को संदर्भित करने के लिए किया जाता है जिसमें सार्थक जानकारी होती है।

 वाणी का उच्चारण करते समय स्वर को ऊपर और नीचे करना स्वर का प्रयोग कहलाता है।

 आप अलग-अलग परिस्थितियों में अलग-अलग व्यक्ति से बात करते हैं क्या आप बोलते समय एक ही पिच का इस्तेमाल करते हैं?  स्पष्टः नहीं।  पिच अलग-अलग स्थिति में भिन्न होती है और संदर्भों में बोलते समय इस्तेमाल की जाने वाली पिच की इस स्थिति को इंटोनेशन कहा जाता है।  इसमें वक्ताओं के दृष्टिकोण और भावनाएं शामिल हैं। यह कथन और प्रश्न के बीच और विभिन्न प्रकार के प्रश्नों के बीच अंतर को भी इंगित करता है।  इंटोनेशन मौखिक मालिश के महत्वपूर्ण तत्वों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करता है और संवादात्मक बातचीत को विनियमित करने में मदद करता है।

 बोलते समय इस्तेमाल किया जाने वाला इंटोनेशन कभी गिर जाता है और जब आप अनुरोध करते हैं तो दूसरी बार बढ़ जाता है।  आप विनम्र हैं और निम्न से ऊँचे स्वर में परिवर्तन होता है, यह बढ़ता हुआ स्वर।  Exp--

 क्या मैं अंदर आ सकता हूँ श्रीमान ?

 लेकिन जब आप आदेश देते हैं तो स्वर उच्च से निम्न में चला जाता है।  यह गिरता हुआ इंटोनेशन।

 उदाहरण के  लिए... दरवाज़ा बंद करो।

 उच्च से निम्न या निम्न से उच्च तक पिच के इस परिवर्तन को इंटोनेशन कहा जाता है।

       With regards to language teaching BCF 2008 follows the recommendations and suggestions of the NCF -2005.
